Qualified Medication Aide

Full time, Part Time, and PRN

Astral at Franklin, a part of Franciscan Ministries, is a vibrant senior living community in Franklin, Indiana looking for Qualified Medication Aide- QMA to add to our team! Astral at Franklin is an assisted living community, offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, assisted living, memory support assisted living. The onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Administers Medication According to Policy and Procedure
• Completes and performs all treatments according to policy standards and physicians orders..
• Provide personal care assistance/services as required or instructed
• Observe and report any changes in resident’s physical/emotional condition to the licensed nurse
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and co-workers
• Attend a minimum of 12 annual hours of in-service education
• Promote and respect the dignity and well-being of each resident and their family

 Required skills and qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Qualified Medication Aide certification
• One year of caregiving experience
• Day shift schedule, every other weekends and rotating holidays.
• Must enjoy working with the senior population
